EntryPing is a solar-powered door plate for small businesses with nobody at the front. Your address glows from behind, and an e-ink panel tells each visitor what to do right now. They scan the code, and a base station buzzes in whatever room you're working in.

E-ink holds an image with no power, so the plate can say something useful all day for almost nothing. It updates when your hours, your calendar, or the visitor in front of it change what they need to hear.
The plate sleeps almost all the time, so a small solar panel keeps it running. Anything interactive happens on the visitor's own phone.
A visitor scans the QR code on the e-ink panel. The code rotates, so an old photo of it won't work.
A short page opens on their phone: delivery, appointment, or looking for someone. They can add a note or a photo.
The door base hears the plate over ESP-NOW and relays the visit. The room base buzzes wherever you are.
Tap "Coming" and the panel updates so the visitor knows someone's on the way.
